PS Plus September 2021 lineup leaked

PS Plus September

The September PS Plus line-up has seemingly leaked online a few days prior to its official announcement. Thankfully the line-up seems to be less full of shovel-ware and Battle-Royale nonsense than last month’s meek offering of Hunter’s Arena, Plants vs Zombies and a tennis game.

The PS5 offering for this month is a psychological horror game called Medium. The game was developed by Bloober Studio and is set in Poland in 1999.

The game’s official description is as follows;

“BECOME A MEDIUM: Wield unique psychic abilities reserved for those with the gift. Travel between the realities or explore them both at the very same time. Use the Out of Body experience to investigate places where your real-world self can’t go. Create energy shields and deliver powerful spirit blasts to survive the spirit world and its otherworldly dangers.

SEE WHAT’S HIDDEN: Delve deep into a mature and morally ambiguous story, where nothing is what it seems and everything has another side. As a medium you see, hear and experience more than others, and with every new perspective you will change your perception on what happened at the Niwa resort.

PLAY IN TWO WORLDS AT THE SAME TIME: Never-seen-before and officially patented gameplay that plays out across two worlds displayed at the same time. Explore the physical world and the spirit world simultaneously, and use the interactions between them to solve dual-reality puzzles, unlock new paths, and awaken memories of past events.
ENTER A DARK REALITY INSPIRED BY BEKSIŃSKI: The Medium’s spirit world is a dark mirror reflection of our reality, a grim and unsettling place where our unpunished deeds, evil urges, and vile secrets manifest themselves and can take on a form. This world has been invented and designed under the inspiration of Zdzisław Beksiński’s paintings, Polish dystopian surrealist internationally recognized for his distinctive and strikingly ominous style.

MUSIC BY TAMAOKA & REIKOWSKI: Immerse yourself in the disturbing and oppressive atmosphere of the game thanks to the original ‘dual’ soundtrack co-created by Akira Yamaoka and Arkadiusz Reikowski. Yamaoka-san is a legendary Japanese composer best known for his work on the Silent Hill series Reikowski is a Hollywood Music in Media Awards nominee who worked on such acclaimed horror games as Blair Witch, Layers of Fear, and Observer. Now they join their creative forces for the music and songs of The Medium.”

The first PS4 offering for this month is Haven. This is a role-playing game about two lovers called Yu and Kay. They escape to an uninhabited lost planet called Source where they must fight for survival.

The game’s official description is as follows;

“As two lovers, glide through a mysterious world fighting against forces trying to tear you apart.
Glide through a mysterious landscape, explore a fragmented world and fight against what’s trying to tear two lovers apart in this RPG adventure about love, rebellion and freedom.

Yu and Kay have escaped to a forgotten planet, leaving everything they knew behind. Play both at the same time as they settle into an unknown world.

Explore the planet looking for parts and material to fix your ship and make it a cosy home.

Enjoy moments of everyday life as a relatable couple while cooking meals, crafting and collecting precious resources. Fight against forces trying to tear you apart by synchronising actions in combat and finding the perfect timing and rhythm, while controlling both characters at once.”

The most interesting part of the PS Plus September line-up is definitely Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1&2. This remake of the classic PS1 game is nostalgic and well crafted. I am actually playing through it right now and enjoying every glorious minute of it.

The game’s official description is as follows;

“Get stoked, because the first two games in the critically acclaimed Tony Hawk™ Pro Skater™ franchise – Tony Hawk’s™ Pro Skater™ and Tony Hawk’s™ Pro Skater™ 2 – are returning fully remastered and in one awesome package. Developed by the masters of the remasters – Vicarious Visions – the games that defined a generation are back and will blend original levels, classic pro skaters, old-school tricks, iconic songs from the original franchise, and more that fans remember from the ‘90s and 2000’s with added features, HD graphics, new tricks, and iconic controls to provide players with a super awesome gameplay experience. The fun doesn’t stop there,

With the launch of the remaster on September 4, 2020, the legacy continues with some of the most preeminent pro skaters in the world today — Nyjah Huston, Leo Baker, Leticia Bufoni, Aori Nishimura, Lizzie Armanto, Shane O’Neill, Riley Hawk and Tyshawn Jones — joining the lineup of OG pro skaters.”

So, what do you think of the possible PS Plus September 2021 line-up? Do you think that this leak is accurate and if so, would you be happy with this line-up?

We should find out whether this leak is in fact accurate tomorrow, as the PS Plus line-up for the following month is normally officially announced on the last Wednesday of the previous month.
